Artwork > One Foot in the Past

One Foot in the Past spawns from the body of work, You Can Never Go Home, these pieces capture present-day objects in embroidery and watercolor, serving as a slow appreciation of the here and now– sealing these moments in my personal history. As the past gets further away, we can no longer keep a foot in both the past and present. This exploration of existing objects is a step toward letting go, confronting anxiety, and being present.
